Science Museum London, heaven for little inventors. The science museum is located in South Kensington close to the Natural History Museum. It is free admission, but donations are welcome. Open from 10 a.m. daily. Like many of the free places to visit in London it is busy during the school holidays, so bear this in mind when planning your visit.
The Science Museum cater to families with family trails which take the kids through the museum. Experienced staff members are on hand to answer any questions the kids may have. The Science Museum is where the kids can learn all about the science that has made impacts on the way we live our lives today from everyday transportation and space travel to communicating across the world wirelessly and even the changes of technology that helps keep the house clean!
Many of the exhibits are kid-friendly encouraging them to touch and take part in, enhancing their learning all about the world of science.
There are cafes available to purchase lunch and snacks which include a shake bar. There are toilets and baby changing facilities and you will also find picnic areas on levels 1 and 3 dedicated so that you can enjoy your own packed lunch.
